چکیده

Evaluating the performance of rejuvenated asphalt mixes is crucial for pavement design and construction, as using a rejuvenator not only boosts recycling contributes to positive effects on environment but also increases sensitivity rutting moisture. This study was executed evaluate effect warm mix (WMA) antistripping agent, namely nano-ZycoTherm, moisture-induced damage potential mixtures containing 30% 60% aged (RAP) binder with 12% waste engine oil (WEO). For this purpose, resistance in wet dry conditions examined utilizing loaded wheel tracker. In addition, impacts moisture were evaluated different experiments, such modified Lottman (AASHTO T283), resilient modulus, dynamic creep, aggregate coating tracking tests. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy thermogravimetric (TG) analysis performed identify functional groups, which would be significant terms damage, assess thermal stability samples, respectively. The results revealed that rejuvenation WEO susceptibility mixtures; however, addition ZycoTherm found enhance WEO-rejuvenated mixtures. Furthermore, indicated exhibited better condition compared conventional HMA However, showed poorer condition. summary, adoption WMA RAP techniques demonstrated satisfactory outcomes susceptibility, also, these are much less expensive implement.

Effects of Warm-mix Asphalt Additives on Asphalt Mixture Characteristics and Pavement Performance

The primary objective of this research is to evaluate the feasibility of several WMA mixtures as potential asphalt paving mixtures for Nebraska pavements. To that end, three well-known WMA additives (i.e., Sasobit, Evotherm, and Advera synthetic zeolite) were evaluated. For a more realistic evaluation of the WMA approaches, trial pavement sections of the WMA mixtures and their HMA counterparts ...

Analysis of the Relationships between Waste Cooking Oil Qualities and Rejuvenated Asphalt Properties

Waste cooking oil (WCO), in many cases, can rejuvenate aged asphalt and restore its properties. However, the influence of WCO qualities on rejuvenation behaviors of aged asphalt has not been investigated in detail. The objective of this paper was to evaluate the effects of WCO viscosity and acid value on the basic, rheological, and chemical properties of a typical rejuvenated asphalt. Penetrati...
